Find a Local Mortgage Advisor to help you get the best deal on your new mortgage!
You can save £££ thousands on your mortgage with the help of a professional mortgage advisor
Choosing the right mortgage isn’t just about ticking boxes - the right mortgage can save you thousands of pounds over the life of your loan. According to FCA research, up to 30% of borrowers could have found a cheaper mortgage with the same features. On average, those customers paid around £550 more each year during their introductory period compared to better-value products.
Once you’re locked into a deal, switching can be costly, so it pays to start with the best option available. But with so many lenders, products and criteria to navigate, finding the right mortgage on your own can be time-consuming and confusing.
At Local Mortgage Advisors, we make it easy to find an FCA-registered mortgage advisor near you. Your advisor will help you compare the market, review your financial position to understand your options, and guide you through the application process, so you can feel confident you’re making the right choice for your circumstances.

FAQs
I didn't get 5 results, why is that?
The maximum number of results you will receive is 5, and in most urban areas, for the more common mortgage types, you will receive a full complement. But in some areas the actual number may be fewer, depending upon the number of advisors offering the specific mortgage you require, as:
a) not all advisors offer all mortgage types in their chosen territories, and
b) some areas, particularly more rural areas, simply have fewer advisors covering them!
Do mortgage advisors charge fees?
Sometimes, yes. Mortgage advisors provide a professional service for which they expect to be paid one way or another.
Most will offer a limited initial consultation for free to explore your requirement, but to be able to offer an informed opinion on your financial position, and make recommendations on your mortgage options there may be a fee covering a full financial review, particularly in the case of your income being from multiple sources, or if you have a poor credit history.
Others will receive a commission from the lender and not charge any upfront fees, and often a fee for a full financial review may be refundable if you proceed with an application.
Under FCA rules advisors are required to inform you if they are receiving a lender's commission, and you should always check with them beforehand what their fees may be and how they are structured.
Are your advisors all local to my postcode?
Results may list both independent advisors and larger firms of a mixture of sizes and locations.
Independent advisors tend to cover much smaller local territories, and firms with multiple advisors will tend to cover slightly larger areas, and we have a few firms listed who offer a nationwide service.
Our algorithm gives priority to local firms, only offering regional or national firms if we don't have local firms offering your selected mortgage type in your postcode district.
Are all your advisors regulated by the FCA?
Yes. All the advisors and firms on our site are verified FCA Regulated. You can check the FCA register here: FCA Register.
Why do you ask for my postcode and address?
We need your postcode and address to find local advisors in your area.
Why do you ask for my contact details?
We need these to email your estimates to you, and so the advisors can follow up with you to discuss your exact requirements. If you choose to withold your contact information (by entering dummy information for example) you will still be able to view your search results on screen, but they will not be emailed to you. If you prefer to be emailed but not called, simply enter 'please don't call me' or a series of zeros in the telephone number field.
Can I withhold my contact details?
You can if you wish, but if you choose to withold your contact information (by entering dummy information for example) we will not be able to email your estimates to you, although you will still be able to view your search results on screen. If you want to receive confirmation of your estimates by email but prefer not to be called, simply enter 'please don't call me' or a series of zeros in the telephone number field.
What do you do with my details?
Details of your search and the contact details you provide are are stored in our database, and sent to the surveyors shown in results so they can respond to you. They are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
If you tick the 'Please send me details of other services...' box we may send you additional information on our other services and products. If you do not tick the box you will not receive any further offers from us.
